We are led by Jennifer Flaherty, Executive Director and Visionary of Hope for the Brave. Her personal mission in life is to empower women who are recovering from the trauma of domestic violence. After experiencing sexual violence and domestic violence throughout her life from a young age, she ended up with a drug addiction for 10 years. She was able to get sober with the assistance of a great drug treatment institution in California. Throughout her sobriety journey, she got closer to God and understood that her experiences were a part of His plan and gave her the ability to help others. Jennifer obtained her Medical Administrative Assistant diploma from Saint Paul College and worked as an administrative assistant to one of the leading doctors at the Child Psychiatry Department at Regions Hospital before moving onto her long-standing career at CenturyLink (now Lumen), where she has held key positions in sales, consumer financials, and contract negotiation and implementation.
